The Food
We have a policy of sourcing locally as much produce as possible and serving home made bread, terrines, pastries and desserts.
All our meat is rarebreed and traceable, poultry free range and our fish is delivered daily.
Beef
The Shorthorn is the oldest recorded breed of cattle in the UK, originating in the North East of England in the 18th century. The Beef Shorthorn has been identified as having particular tenderness qualities.
Lamb
The Oxford Down sheep is an English breed developed in 1830s by crossing the Cotswold with a forerunner of the Hampshire, and using the resulting cross-breeds to form the basis of the present-day breed.
Pork
Gloucester Old Spot pigs originated around the Berkeley Vale on the southern shores of the river Severn. Producing some of the finest tasting pork and bacon, The Old Spot, traditionally an orchard pig, is an ideal outdoor breed suited to traditional farming.
All our dishes are all freshly prepared and cooked to order. When busy this may result in a short wait. We appreciate your understanding.
